A huge field of 1,122 players has competed on Day 1b of the €1,100 Estrellas Main Event, not only totally dwarfing Wednesday's 592-strong Day 1a field but also showing a 28% increase on Day 1b last season.

Among those competing today are Team PokerStars Pros George Danzer, Marcin Horecki, Pier Paolo Fabretti and Leo Margets plus Team Online's Liliya Novikova & Grzegorz Mikielewicz, and PokerStars-sponsored Miss Finland Sara Chafak. PCA Super High Roller finalist Bryn Kenney was the last to join the fray after flying in to Barcelona from Miami this morning. Also playing today are two former professional footballers - Real Madrid's Royston Drenthe and Petri Heinanen, a two-time Finnish champion.

A bunch of EPT champions including Kevin MacPhee (EPT Berin), Roberto Romanello (Prague) and Jannick Wrang (Campione) are also in the field.

Lithuanian's Tomas Drabek is at his first EPT after winning winning the Season 11 EPTLive League.

Live satellite winner Fernando Heredia led yesterday's 166 Day1a survivors with 336,200. Last year's Estrellas champion was Matias Ruzzi who defeated a record 2,560-strong field to take €198,550 back home to Argentina.
