Poker pros often will make side bets while playing in tournaments, some bigger than others and some….well….bolder than others.

Case in point, poker’s top female player Vanessa Selbst recently bet Russian player Dzmitry Urbanovich he could not win three bracelets at this year’s World Series of Poker and she made the same bet with Jason Mercier, the later of whom just won his first the other day with two more to go.

Those wagers total over $2 million.  The exact figure wagered with Mercier was not immediately known.

In both instances the bets were made when Selbst was intoxicated.

For insurance, Selbst has reportedly placed bets that Mercier will win more bracelets than Urbanovich.
