Dan Colman Says Phil Hellmuth ‘Spineless Cancer to the World’

Seemingly out of nowhere, this year’s One Drop winner, Dan Colman, lambasted 13-time World Series of Poker record bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth on the TwoPlusTwo.com forum.

Full Flush Poker 150% Welcome Bonus and 20% Cashback

Its embarrassing that we have to share our profession with whores like this guy. After I win one drop, he immediately comes on stage to shake my hand in front of a camera and congratulate me. As if he’s the gatekeeper to the poker world and welcoming me inside.

It is truly pathetic that a 40 year old would behave the way he does at the table, not to mention how spineless he is, just willing to take any sponsorship regardless of the company’s integrity. Hey, anything for a payday! Really makes me sad to think there’s a chance some people may look up to this charlatan. People of his attitude and character are a cancer to this world.

The 23-year-old Colman made headlines this past summer for, not just winning the One Drop, but appearing to be angry with the $15.2 million victory.

Not the case, said Colman after the big win. He just despises the game of poker.

“First off, I don’t owe poker a single thing. I’ve been fortunate enough to benefit financially from this game, but I have played it long enough to see the ugly side of this world. It is not a game where the pros are always happy and living a fulfilling life.”

For his part, Hellmuth responded via Twitter to Colman’s vitriol.

Ouch, I was just attacked big time on a terrific poker forum: TwoPlusTwo. It was personal and it hurts, but I am proud of the man I am!

Hellmuth may be the self-proclaimed “Poker Brat” but, at least on Twitter he decided to take the high road.
