Bodog Poker, a one time power house, has fallen from the 16th biggest online poker room in the world based on “real cash” players to number 21, its lowest position since rankings began at PokerScout.com.

Bodog had a seven day average of just 540 people.

By comparison, Merge Poker, which had been lagging behind Bodog for some time, had an average of 690 real cash poker players.

The fall has more to do with new entrants into the online poker market including Everest Poker’s France site, which is now being tracked separately, as is PokerStars France site, which enters the rankings this week at number 10.

It should be noted that with the new tracking, Everest itself has dropped to the number 10 spot.  Combined with the France site, Everest would rank at number 6 overall.  French poker players are making up nearly half of Everest Poker’s customer base it seems.

Another new entrant to the online poker market is the People’s Network, which was at number 12 this week.
