How good an online poker room BetOnline Poker will be remains to be seen. US players, however, are desperate for just about anything these days so it was refreshing to learn while in Costa Rica this past week that BetOnline had just launched its very own poker room, separate from any other network.
It is the newest online poker room on the scene with players mostly coming in from the BetOnline sportsbook side.
The site should attract a decent amount of traffic being that BetOnline has been around for over a decade now after first setting up shop in the office complex owned by BetOnSports. The company soon moved to Panama City, Panama where a handful of diehards from the old BetOnSports operation help to run the show. BetOnline has made no qualms about wanting to fill the void left by US-departing online gambling companies.
