US facing online poker room Americas Cardroom (ACR) will be hosting a new tournament series called the High Five Tournament Series (HFTS). The series of tournaments runs from November 20th to 24th and promises 5 major guaranteed tournaments each night along with smaller events for a series guarantee of $350,000.
"This tournament series has something to offer both the recreational and seasoned veteran players," commented ACR spokesperson Michael Harris. "Buy-ins range from $2 up to $200 and our guarantees range from $1,000 all the way up to our $150,000 Main Event."
The HFTS will spread five separate events each day with a bigger $20,000 GTD each day leading up to the Main Event. Tournament types will include 4, 6, and 9 handed and standard stack, deep stack, and mega stack structure. Game types will include Texas holdem and pot limit Omaha. There will be rebuy tournaments and all other tournaments will carry the standard re-entry format in which players can re-enter the tournament at a new table with starting chips upon early elimination during the late registration period.
"Players can win big every night and have the opportunity to make life changing money in the Main Event," continued Harris. "Participants can qualify for their seats to all the different events at just a fraction of the cost via our satellites that will be posted before and during the series."
This is the first HFTS hosted by the network. ACR also hosts both the Online Super Series (OSS) and the Mini Online Super Series (mOSS) twice a year. Over the past year the site has substantially grown its tournament offerings. It currently has a weekly $50k Guarantee every Sunday at 6:00pm ET along with a $100k Guarantee every month. ACR also runs satellites for the Latin Series of Poker which hosts land based tournaments with guarantees as high as $500,000 in diverse locations throughout Latin America every year.
