San Jose, Costa Rica - America has always been known as the land of the free, but this takes things to a whole new level.
The much-anticipated $150,000 Freebuy Super Series II kicks off on Friday, August 28th. The 10-day tournament series features tourneys with $0 buy-ins and real money prizes. Poker players can register for free and play in all tournaments without opening their wallets.
"We launched freebuys several months ago and poker players all over the world have responded in record numbers to our innovative tournament format that combines freerolls with buy-ins,” stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. “We’re excited to bring back our Freebuy Super Series for a second time and welcome new players to our poker community, especially those who want to try our games for free and win real money.”
The $150,000 Freebuy Super Series II gets underway on Friday, August 28th and runs through Sunday, September 6th. All events in the Freebuy Super Series II are free to enter. Each tournament comes with a $0 buy-in and players are given a starting stack of 1,000 chips. Players can opt to add on or re-buy with real money, which could ultimately push each guarantee even higher than the posted amount.
This is the second Freebuy Super Series in a matter of months. The first one took place in May and attracted lots of new players to the tables.
The Freebuy Super Series II also includes a leaderboard component where the top player in the series wins $100 cash and a $540 seat to a Million Dollar Sunday of their choice.
Registration for each Freebuy tournament opens two hours prior to the start of the tournament and closes two hours after the event begins. Rebuys are available for 3 hours after the tournament starts and an add-on is made available to players after level 18.
