Abbas Pahlewani is leading the record-breaking Eureka Hamburg €2k High Roller after Day 1. There were 81 participants, making it the biggest stand-alone Eureka High Roller. Eleven players will share the prizes of a €157,140 prize pool with the eventual winner taking €43,210.

Pahlewani bagged 122,000 at the end of Day 1 to seize the lead, although the German will face a tough competition as the remaining 43-strong field includes many famous names. Dutch regular Tobias Peters is one of the notable players, he is in sixth place with 99,700.
Four EPT champions entered the €2k High Roller and two survived for Day 2. EPT6 Snowfest winner Allan Baekke has 53,800 while EPT5 Grand Final champ Pieter De Korver bagged 20,300. Moritz Kranich and Thang Duc Nguyen were eliminated during today's nine levels, cutting down tomorrow's EPT champions group to half.

WSOP bracelet winner Jan-Peter Jachtmann will come back for Day 2 as well as Jesper Feddersen and Ukraine's Olga Iermolcheva, who finished second in the LAPT Panama Main Event for $113,580 earlier this month. German football star Max Kruse also made it through, although the 27-year-old has one of the shortest stack with 11,900.
