San Jose, Costa Rica – October 21, 2015 – It’s not just the $500,000 Guaranteed making headlines at popular US-facing online poker site Americas Cardroom.
The home of the $5 Million Guaranteed promotion today announced that it has increased the guarantees and lowered the buy-ins of several tournaments and added new ones to its Sunday schedule, bringing the total amount of guaranteed prize money on Sunday to over $1 Million.
“You simply won’t find an online poker site in the United States with as much guaranteed prize money on the line on Sundays,” stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. “We’re thrilled to pack our schedule with tournaments designed for players of all bankrolls. You can get into a big guarantee for as little as $5+0.50, and we’re talking about direct buy-ins here.”
Over the next few weeks, the spotlight will no doubt be on the $500,000 GTD MDS Main Event at 5:00pm ET. The tournament is part of Americas Cardroom’s lineup through November 8th as part of the $5 Million Guaranteed promotion. But Americas Cardroom has made a number of improvements and additions to the Sunday schedule, on top of the $500k Guarantee.
It begins at 1:00pm ET with a brand new $8,000 Guarantee for a $75+5 buy-in. Also added to the schedule is a $15,000 Guaranteed Turbo Mega Stack for $100+9.
Americas Cardroom has also increased the Sunday Special guarantee from $115,000 to $125,000 and doubled the guarantee of the 6:00pm ET High Roller tournament to $40,000. The 7:00pm ET $50,000 Guarantee now features a guaranteed prize pool of $75,000 while retaining its $200+15 buy-in. Pot limit Omaha fans will be pleased to learn that the 8:15pm ET 6-Max tournament keeps its $50+5 buy-in but features an increased guaranteed prize pool of $7,500, up from the original $3,000.
