A first prize of nearly half a million euros is at stake for today's €25k High Roller players with the eventual champ set to walk away with €498,575. There were 74 entries to the tournament (63 unique players + 11 re-entries) creating a €1,813,000 prize pool, to be divvied up between eleven players.

There are currently 18 players remaining and today's plan is to get down to the final table of eight. EPT10 Grand Final High Roller finalist Byron Kaverman from the USA currently holds the lead, followed by EPT Dortmund champion Mike McDonald.

Three players won their ticket in the last night's satellite - EPT Madrid champion Frederik Jensen plus American pros Jason Wheeler and Michael Rocco while Craig Varnell, Sylvain Loosli and Benjamin Pollak all bought in from scratch on Day 2. Mohsin Charania was the only Day 1 player to re-enter today.

At the debut EPT Malta stop seven months ago, it was Polish pro Dzmitry Urbanovich who beat the 88-entry field to win the €25k High Roller for €572,300, kick-starting an amazing series of results which eventually led him to the EPT Player of the Year title.
