While not living up to his potential, things could change in 2022 for AJ Dillon of the Green Bay Packers.

Though he stepped up in 2021, Dillon only rushed for 242 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie in 2020. He rushed for 803 yards and five touchdowns off 187 carries last season.

The team anticipates vast improvements in 2022.

Running backs coach Ben Sirmans had this to offer ahead of training camp:

“He’s got that type of ability. He can make you miss in the open field. You think about the plays like the Chicago run that he had,” Sirmans said, (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk). “He’s faster than what most people think. He’s got the ability to put a little juke on you, even for a guy his size. So really it’s just putting all those facets to his game and putting them together. I do think he’ll have more explosive runs this year.”

BetOnline has offered early prop bets on Dillon.

AJ Dillon - Total Rushing Yards

Over/Under                                  700.5

AJ Dillon - Total Rushing TDs

Over/Under                                   5.5

Dillon, along with Aaron Jones, should receive the bulk of the touches this season.

The Over 700.5 total rushing yards is perhaps akin to taking candy from a baby.
