Online Casinos Shut Down, Funds Seized in Alleged Drug Laundering Case

Some are calling it the “Black Friday for the Online Casino Industry” as a number of Dutch-based web gaming sites were recently shut down.  At least one poker site, AmsterdamPoker.com, was also taken down as part of the law enforcement operative.

In the Netherlands two brothers, 32-year-old Michel Grégoire and 34-year-old Maurice Grégoire were arrested last week and are suspected of laundering drug money(Cannabis) through their company: Netgaming Solutions.  A third individual, Stijn Flapper, 34, was also arrested in connection with the case.

The brands included:

amsterdamscasino.com

amsterdamspoker.com

fruitluck.com

golden10casino.com

jackpotred.com

tanzoo.com

triplegoldcasino.com

The online casinos are offline until an investigation by the Dutch authorities is complete.

The companies were based out of Costa Rica though servers were believed to be contained within the Netherlands.

Sheriff Gaming has also been implicated with assets froze.
