With just three games today and then a week off for the All-Star break, it’s a good time to compare the NHL odds from the preseason to the present.
But before we get into that, there’s a league record on the line when we return from the break.
Remember when the Oilers were sitting at 5-12-1 on Thanksgiving Day? Their Stanley Cup odds then were a whopping 25/1!
But after rattling off 16 consecutive victories over the past 40 days, they are now the title favorites (7/1 odds), and a single victory away from tying the NHL record of 17 straight wins.
SportsBetting.ag put together a couple of clever props asking which opponent will end Edmonton’s streak, and how long they streak will last.
Unfortunately for Conor McDavid and his crew, the odds don’t support this streak going much longer as they play the team just ahead of them in the conference standings next Tuesday. They are also going to play six of their next seven outings away from home.
