Nuno Borges takes on Brandon Nakashima Wednesday for this ATP Cincinnati match. Some leading sportsbooks were reporting $300,000 plus wagered the hour leading up to this 5:50 pm EDT showdown.
Borges pays out $142 for every $100 bet to win versus the -172 favorite Nakashima.
He won 6-3, 6-4 over Andrey Rublev in the third round of Cincinnati on Tuesday.
Borges knocked out his second seeded opponent in a row in straight sets as he downed the No. 18-ranked Russian to reach the fourth round after one hour and 13 minutes on court. The 29-year-old from Portugal claimed 69% of service points and 40% of return points in the match.
Nakashima is an American professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 22 achieved on 10 August 2026 and a best doubles ranking of No. 193 reached on 17 February 2025. He is currently the No. 4 American singles player.
Nakashima won 6-7 (3), 7-6 (4), 6-1 over Daniil Medvedev in the third round of Cincinnati on Tuesday.
Nakashima stayed hot with his first win in four matches against the No. 7-ranked Russian as he battled across three sets to reach the fourth round after two hours and 52 minutes on court.
