Sportsbook.com has released a whole series of Quarterback, Runningback and Wide Receiver prop betting odds, with the Indianapolis Colts starting QB leading the back as favorite to have the most passing yards Sunday.  That would be Peyton Manning of course.

Manning comes in with a line of -150 for a payout potential of $15 for every $10 bet.

The payouts get better with other Quarterbacks.

It’s Matt Schaub of the Texans and Jay Cutler of the Chicago Bears who have the next shortest odds, paying $50 for every $10 bet.

“Cutler’s odds may be based on the team he is playing against, the Detroit Lions,” explains Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  “Schaub led the league in passing yards (4,770) last season but he’s also up against the Colts.  Keeping in mind the Colts defense ranked 8th in points allowed last season.”

Aaron Rodgers (Packers) would pay out $80 on a $10 bet.

Carson Palmer (Bengals) would pay out $100 on a $10 bet.

Donovan McNabb (Redskins) would pay $80.

Other Quarterback Odds for Week 1 of the 2010 NFL regular season include:

Eli Manning (Giants) +1000

Matt Ryan (Falcons)  +1200 (pays $120)

Tom Brady (Patriots) +650

Tony Romo (Cowboys) +650

Vince Young (Titans) +1200

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
