Of the Thursday night College Football games starting off the 2010 season, USC vs. Hawaii was going gangbusters, Gambling911.com can reveal.  The action, however, was lopsided.

“USC vs. Hawaii had opened with Southern California as the -19 favorite and the line has since moved to -21 ½ in order to get action on Hawaii,” said Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.  “Some 90 percent of gamblers were on USC by Thursday afternoon.”

It was the most wagered on game of the day with Saturday’s North Carolina vs. LSU game already garnering the second most action, more so than any of the Thursday games.

“No matter how much the line moves in favor of USC, it is still a good bet based on recent history,” Shapiro suggests.

That’s because in all three of their meetings, Hawaii has been pummeled by the Trojans.  The last beating was in 2005.

There is one scary trend that goes against the Trojans and could sway a few people towards betting on Hawaii. USC is 1-8 ATS in their last 9 road games.  Of course that might not matter here since such a trend is likely to be offset by recent head-to-head history.
