New York Jets

BetUS.com might just be quashing the hopes of New York Jets fans by suggesting the team’s odds of winning big in 2010 might not be very good.

In fact, there is enough uncertainty in Jets Land (not to mention with the New England Patriots) that Gambling911.com is suggesting a good long look at the Miami Dolphins this season.

BetUS.com Analyst Charles Jay has questioned the Jets intensity in their first preseason game:

“In the first half the Jets seemed to play well enough; Mark Sanchez was relatively sharp, hitting 13 of 17 passes, although one of his throws was intercepted and brought back to the one-yard line. If you want to refer to any quarterback battle that might ensue in this game, it will be the one where Kellen Clemens fight to keep a job against Kevin O'Connell as a third-stringer. Frankly, if you asked me for my NFL expert pick on that one, I would say that Clemens is as good as gone, with the Jets dealing him to another team rather than keep a guy who costs too much to carry a clipboard.”

But of more pressing concern, Jay says the defense will need to step it up.

“The play of the second-team defense is what really got Rex Ryan's goat, and this is what puts the microscope even more squarely on the holdout of Darrelle Revis.”

The secondary was torched by Giant quarterbacks Jim Sorgi and Rhett Bomar and the terrific play of wide receiver Victor Cruz.

For now BetUS.com does have the New York Jets as favorites to win 10 or more regular season games.  They remain the division favorite.
