Brett Favre is widely anticipated to be playing for the Minnesota Vikings in 2010.

Gambling911.com, the world’s leading gaming news and odds provider, has Favre’s return pegged at around 70 percent while BetUS.com still has the Vikings with strong +150 odds of winning the NFC North, compared to +110 for the slightly favored Green Bay Packers.  The vast majority of online gambling websites had taken down odds on the NFC North, Gambling911.com noted.

Favre has said he will play should his ankle fully heal but in recent days reports have surfaced that the quarterback sent text messages to some Vikings teammates claiming he would not be playing in 2010.

There was also a little scandal thrown into the mix.

According to an article at Deadspin, the quarterback may have sent a slew of graphic photos - namely shots of his private parts - to model Jenn Sterger.

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
