Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts Betting Odds

The odds makers darlings heading into this NFL season may be no more. The Jacksonville Jaguars, after starting 0-2 were one of the early favorites to win the 2009 Super Bowl. Sportsbook.com now has them paying $2500 for every $100 bet if they were to win.

Well, both New England and last year's New York Giants started the season off 0-2 only to go on and win the Super Bowl during those years after essentially being written off.

The Jaguars have a chance for a statement win on the road in Indianapolis this week, and as a -5 or -5 ½ underdog to boot. This one opened at -5 ½ across the board and really hasn't moved outside of a half point.

Early betting tells us this game will have somewhat balanced action though slightly favoring the Colts on the spread and heavily favoring Jacksonville on the money line (which would pay almost $200 for every $100 bet if they were to win outright at Sportsbook.com)

Gambling911.com has determined the line on this game should be Indianapolis -7, and while Jacksonville may be hungry for a win, we believe that the Colts should be able to win by at least two field goals or a touch down.

This game will not hurt the books very hard unlike Dallas vs. Green Bay if the Cowboys were to win or ESPECIALLY Carolina vs. Minnesota where almost 80 percent of the action is going towards the Panthers and this just happens to be the most bet on NFL game coming into the weekend.

We are actually surprised there is not more action on Jacksonville vs. Indianapolis early on. Then again, Jacksonville only seems to get love from the odds makers.

If all goes according to plan, the Jaguars will have started the season off 0-3 and the Colts are back after a rough start against Chicago.

The Colts odds to win the 2009 Super Bowl were at +700, the best they've been at in some time, paying $700 for every $100 bet at Sportsbook.com, which at press time was offering 5 percent in losses back to customers through the month of September.
