It should come as no real surprise that the epic Germany - Argentina World Cup matchup has even betting action on both sides at SBG Global (see website here).  That is not to say that the line on this game is even, far from it.  Argentina would pay out US$11.50 for a win in this game while Germany would pay out US$22.50.

"Argentina comes into this game as a pretty significant favorite," points out Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

As well they should.  Argentina has looked like the team to beat throughout this tournament.

From Stats Inc:

Both sides have traded verbal blows leading up to their World Cup quarterfinal in Cape Town, site of the latest high-stakes meeting between the international powers.

Germany and Argentina also met in the 2006 quarterfinals, and the physical confrontation that followed the host Germans' penalty-kicks victory remains fresh in both teams' minds.

"We have to concentrate on our own game. They are temperamental, we'll see how they deal with defeat on Saturday," Germany captain Philipp Lahm said of Argentina. "They are impulsive, temperamental and they don't know how to lose."

For gamblers, Argentina has been the most trafficked team at the Gambling911.com website throughout the tournament.

"It is surprising that the matchup is attracting such even action on both sides," expressed Shapiro.  "One would think it might weigh around 80/20 in favor of Argentina."

It is more around 55 percent for Argentina with some action going towards the draw as well.

This game goes off at 10 am EST on ABC.  Expect mayhem in Miami Beach, home base of Gambling911.com, with its rather extensive Argentinean population.
