Argentina Germany World Cup Game Line: What Will It Be?

In what should be one of the most anticipated games of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Argentina faces off against Germany with a line that has Argentina a small favorite and Germany paying close to 2/1 odds.  The Germans beat Argentina in the 1990 World Cup.  (odds will be offered at Bookmaker.com here)

Carlos Tevez scored twice -- once on a disputed goal -- and Gonzalo Higuain added another as Argentina beat Mexico 3-1 on Sunday to advance to the World Cup quarterfinals.

Tevez was offside when he headed in a pass from Lionel Messi in the eighth minute. The referee awarded the goal after consulting with his linesman, the pair surrounded by angrily gesturing Mexican and Argentine players.

Earlier in the day, Germany crushed England.

Germany handed England its worst-ever World Cup loss and advances to the final eight for the 15th straight World Cup, by far the longest streak in World Cup history (second-longest is Brazil with five).

Germany is the fist team to score four goals in the knockout stage since Denmark defeated Nigeria 4-1 in the 1998 round of 16.

Thomas Mueller became the second-youngest player since 17-year-old Pele to score at least two goals in a knockout stage game of the World Cup. Mueller is the first German under 21 to do it since Franz Beckenbauer in 1966.

Germany goalie Manuel Neuer's assist on the Miroslav Klose goal was only the second assist by a goalkeeper in the World Cup since 1966.
