Landon Donovan said, if the US can't beat Slovenia, they don't deserve to get into the round of 16.  The oddsmakers at BetUS.com have Team USA as a +105 favorite, which pays just better than even odds.

Slovenia would pay out US$26.50 for every US$10 bet if they were to somehow win.

They might be forgetting that it is actually Slovenia, who leads Group C after an opening match victory, not England or the USA, which drew against one another in their faceoff.

Aaron Torres of BetUS.com predicts: "Sure the Yanks 1-1 draw with England made headlines on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, but make no mistake, this American team has staying power in South Africa. All the talk may be on Donovan and Dempsey up front, but it is Howard and the defense which will carry them to victory Friday."

USA not surprisingly was getting nearly 90 percent of the public backing from gamblers
