Joran van der Sloot, the prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalie Holloway, is being sought in the Sunday killing of 21-year-old Stephany Flores in a Lima hotel.  Van der Sloot was in Peru taking part in a poker tournament, presumably the Latin American Poker Tour (or LAPT), which was kicking off this week in Lima.

The Dutch government said Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant for Van der Sloot in the stabbing death of 21-year-old Stephany Flores.  He had reportedly fled the country to Chile.

Van der Sloot appears with the young woman in a video taken at a Lima casino early Sunday just prior to her slaying.

Flores' father is a businessman and race car driver.

The killing occurred exactly five years after the May 30, 2005, disappearance of Holloway in Aruba, a Dutch Caribbean island.

"We have an interview with a worker at the hotel who says she saw this foreigner with the victim enter his room," said Criminal police chief Gen. Cesar Guardia.

Natalee Ann Holloway (born October 21, 1986) disappeared on May 30, 2005, during a high school graduation trip to Aruba, a Caribbean country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. , Van der Sloot was arrested twice on suspicion of involvement in her disappearance.  Due to lack of evidence, he was subsequently released.

On February 1, 2008, the Dutch media reported that Joran van der Sloot made a confession regarding the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.  Later that day, Van der Sloot stated that he was telling the individual what he wanted to hear, and that he had no role in her disappearance

The LAPT Lima poker event was to begin today June 2 and is sponsored by
