LAS VEGAS (Gambling911.com) - Circa Sports witnessed its Circa Survivor pool field take a massive hit this week, courtesy of the Dallas Cowboys losing to Tampa Bay.
That Thursday night loss to the winless Buccaneers eliminated 2,554 entries, or 42.8% of the remaining field entering the week.
Dallas was the clear favorite among Circa Survivor contestants entering Week 5. The 24-16 loss eliminated thousands of entries before the remainder of the week’s games kicked off Sunday. The Dallas loss continued a season in which a single heavily selected team has repeatedly put a substantial portion of the field out of the contest. The first two weeks of the 2026 season witnessed a significant number of entries go down backing the LA Chargers. That team is yet to win a game this season.
There were also 209 Circa Survivor entries on Washington and one entry on NYG, which resulted in the first tie game of the season. After regulation failed to determine a winner, critical clock management decisions by both teams in the closing minutes of overtime prevented either side from securing a victory. With the result of the game being a tie, all 210 Survivor entries associated with the game were eliminated, delivering one of the most heartbreaking outcomes of the season for participants.
Following the Week 5 action through Sunday, 88.36% of the original Circa Survivor field has been eliminated. The remaining 2,913 entries are still competing for the record-setting $25,017,000 prize pool, with each entry carrying an implied value of $8,588.
Circa Grandissimo also suffered a major setback with Dallas as its most popular selection. Nine of the 24 entries entering Week 5, or 37.5% of the field shared the same pick. Jacksonville, Cincinnati, and Houston each had four entries, while Detroit had three. With Dallas eliminated and the other four selections advancing, 15 entries remain in the $7.7 million contest. The surviving Circa Grandissimo entries represent 20% of the original 77-entry field, with each remaining entry carrying an implied value of $513,333.
