The final week of the MLB regular season is here, and while most of the postseason bracket remains a jumbled mess, one marquee matchup is officially locked in: the New York Yankees versus the Boston Red Sox. Arguably the greatest rivalry in sports history is set for another October showdown.
Because of their better record, the Yanks will host all three games of this American League Wild Card series. It is a highly anticipated rematch of last year's Wild Card Round, which saw New York advance in three games, punctuated by a pitching gem from Cy Young favorite Cam Schlittler.
Will the Yankees replicate last year's success and beat their hated rivals once again, or will the Red Sox exact their revenge and knot up their all-time postseason head-to-head record at 3-3?
