OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - Those 100-1 odds on the Cleveland Browns Todd Monken being the first NFL head coach fired were looking pretty sweet coming off of the Week 1 disastrous loss to Jacksonville. The payout is a cool $10,000 on a $100 bet.
Jaguars Trevor Lawrence threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns, opening the season much like he closed last year, and the Jaguars routed rebuilding Cleveland 34-10 on Sunday to spoil the debut of new Browns coach Monken.
Because he's new, the odds are especially long.
Fansided has Monken as the most likely to be first to go.
"The Browns went with the least inspiring coaching hire possible in Todd Monken. Then Cleveland decided to start Deshaun Watson over Shedeur Sanders. That is due to Watson's contract more than anything else, but Monken's name is rubber-stamped on Watson's QB1 designation all the same. Nothing helps a bad front office stay in power quite like scapegoating the head coach."
The hot seat is hotter for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Todd Bowles however.
His team lost on the road to the Bengals 27-33 Sunday. That, however, was at least a more competitive game. But Bowles can ill afford to lose over the next two weeks.
The Commanders 24-22 loss to Philadelphia should keep favorite to be fired first Dan Quinn alive in Washington.
Aaron Glenn had the 4th shortest odds at 4-1 as the Jets head coach. They won by a good margin (23-10) versus the Tennessee Titans earlier on Sunday.
