Kyle Shanahan, 49ers Eye More Explosive Christian McCaffrey Plays This Season With Prop Bets Available for Thursday Night's Game

Kyle Shanahan shared his 2026 NFL season goal for the San Francisco 49ers' offense with Christian McCaffrey. Despite rushing for 1,202 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, the explosive plays that push up the average were mostly non-existent. McCaffrey had just three runs of 20 or more yards all season. “In order to get those big runs, it always takes all 11,” coach Kyle Shanahan said on this week's episode of "49ers Game Plan." Shanahan said there were a lot of reasons why the 49ers’ run game was not as explosive as past seasons. “There are a few that Christian could do better, but I want to give him more opportunities,” Shanahan said. Among the prop bets being offered are the Anytime Touchdown Scorer props where McCaffrey is listed at -115 for Thursday night's game. He pays $500 for every $100 bet to score the first touchdown and is listed with a 39.5 over/under total receiving yards.
