Coastal Carolina vs. West Virginia Rushing Yards Prop Bets

OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - Coastal Carolina takes on West Virginia for this 12 pm EDT game for Week 1 of the 2026 college Football season.

The spread on this game was Mountaineers -20.5

The game kicks off at noon ET at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown and airs nationally on TNT, truTV and HBO Max. West Virginia is currently around a 21-point favorite with a total of 56.5.  Betting action was relatively decent, albeit lopsided on West Virginia.

Both programs have undergone major roster changes and there is uncertainty at quarterback.  With West Virginia, the biggest question who will be assuming the starting quarterback position with Oklahoma transfer Michael Hawkins Jr. and Scotty Fox Jr. competed for the job throughout camp.

West Virginia is trying to rebound from a rough 2025. The Mountaineers went 4-8 and just 2-7 in the Big 12 during the first season of Rich Rodriguez's second stint at WVU. They ranked only 14th of 16 Big 12 teams in total offense at 349.5 yards per game.

West Virginia added Cam Cook from Jacksonville State, and WVU describes him as the most productive running back in college football last season.

His rushing yards total was coming in at over/under 116.5 for this game.

The Chanticleers ranked 132nd of 136 FBS teams in total defense last season, surrendering 443.8 yards per game.

New coach Ryan Beard consequently hit the portal hard, bringing in 43 transfers, with considerable attention devoted to rebuilding the defense.

Rushing yards prop bets should be in high demand and they are plentiful.
