Alabama vs. Washington LLWS Betting Odds August 25

OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - Perhaps the most anticipated Little League World Series (LLWS) game so far this year and it's a repeat of a match from just a few days ago.

Alabama is all the rage but they'll face a Washington team that previously beat them.  Alabama is also the dog here, paying out $150 for every $100 bet should they advance.

Phenix City opened against Washington and lost 2-0 in seven innings last week.

Kinley Rasmus was sensational. She threw six scoreless innings, allowed only one hit and struck out eight, tying Mo'ne Davis' record for strikeouts by a girl in an LLWS game.

Then Alabama's offense exploded Saturday, keeping this team in the thick of things.

Phenix City eliminated California 12-2, a remarkable turnaround after being shut out in its opener.

Even more impressive, Alabama came back to beat Pennsylvania from a five run deficit to win 6-5 and effectively knock that opponent out of this year's LLWS tournament.

Considering Washington is the favorite here, we can't overlook Kasen Workman, a 5-foot-6 right-handed SS/2B/pitcher.

Against Alabama, Workman broke a 0–0 tie in the seventh inning with the two-run hit that gave Washington the 2–0 victory.

Against Texas, he again delivered the decisive hit—a two-run double in the third inning that put Washington ahead 4–2.

It's important to note that Texas was the favorite coming into this year's Little League World Series.

Betting on this year's Little League World Series is not without its controversy.

The Little League World Series issued the following statement to Gambling911.com:

"Little League International stands by its statement first issued last year that there is no place for betting on Little League games and players or any youth sports competition. Little League is a trusted place where children are learning the fundamentals of the games and all the important life lessons that come with having fun, celebrating teamwork, and playing with integrity, and no one should be exploiting the success and failures of children playing the game they love for their own personal gain."

"We're not here to say whether gambling on 10-, 11- and 12-year-olds is right or wrong, that's up for you to decide (and possibly write about), we're just delivering the information," BetOnline Brand Manager Dave Mason tells Gambling911.com.
