Mohamed Salah Next Club Besiktas Odds as BetFair Still Had Him at 1-100 Going to Saudi Arabia

OAKLAND PARK, Fla (Gambling911.com) - Mohamed Salah has an ‘agreement in principle’ to join Besiktas after leaving Liverpool with the Turkish side ‘confident’ they will finalise a deal in the ‘next days’, according to reports.

Beşiktaş J.K. is a major professional Turkish sports club best known for its historic and successful soccer team that was founded in 1903 and making it one of Turkey's oldest institutions.  Tkey are located in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul.

Turkish journalist Yağız Saffunçuoğlu claimed last week that Salah had an ‘agreement’ with Salah.

Saffunçuoğlu reported: ‘Beşiktaş made the first offer to Salah. Salah, who initially demanded an annual salary of 15 million euros (around 25.6 billion Korean won), lowered his salary expectations for the transfer to Beşiktaş. The player’s lawyer has arrived in Istanbul.’

He added: ‘Beşiktaş has reached an agreement with Mohamed Salah on financial terms. Negotiations are currently ongoing regarding the contract duration and image rights.’

Overall, Sabuncuoğlu is generally regarded as one of the more reliable transfer journalists covering Turkish football, but he is not considered infallible.

The current odds of Salah ending up at Besiktas were set at -325, which is hardly a "lock".   Betfair still had odds of him playing at any Saudi team at 1/100 odds.  Now that's a "lock".

Nearly every book had pulled their Salah markets by Sunday evening.

As per FotoMac, the Black Eagles have tabled a contract offer worth a staggering €12.5m per year in annual wages to secure the Egyptian's services.

Liverpool announced in March that Salah would be leaving Anfield after allowing him to cut his time at the club short by one year to pursue a new challenge elsewhere.
