An all-Czech Wimbledon final between Karolína Muchová and Linda Nosková is both a testament to the Czech Republic's remarkable production of elite women's players and one of the more unexpected outcomes of this year's tournament.

Muchova is a Czech professional tennis player. She has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 8 by the WTA, achieved in September 2023, and a best doubles ranking of No. 156, reached in January 2026. Muchová has won three WTA Tour singles titles, including a WTA 1000 event at the 2026 Qatar Open.

She won 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (10) over Coco Gauff in the semifinals of Wimbledon on Thursday.

Muchova prevailed in a thriller against the No. 7-ranked American, saving one match point in the third-set tiebreak to reach the second Grand Slam final of her career.

Nosiova represents the next generation of Czech stars.

She burst onto the scene as a teenager with a huge serve and fearless baseline game.

won 6-4, 6-4 over Marta Kostyuk in the semifinals of Wimbledon on Thursday.

Noskova notched her third straight-set victory in a row over the No. 12 seed from Ukraine.

Noskova had shown flashes of brilliance but had never made a deep Wimbledon run before. Reaching the final marks a major breakthrough in her career.
