Trump favored to be booed at NBA Finals at MSG

It has long been rumored, but now seems official, that U.S. President Donald Trump will be attending Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden.

The Athletic, a subsidiary of the New York Times, reported on June 3 that Trump will attend Game 3, scheduled for Monday, June 8 barring any changes to the president's schedule – citing anonymous league sources. The Post, citing anonymous sources, reported that security walkthroughs were held by Madison Square Garden in preparation for the potential visit where the New York Knicks will host the San Antonio Spurs.  New York is currently up 1-0 in the series as of Thursday.

Having been to multiple Army-Navy games where President Trump receives raucous applause.

The oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag don’t seem to think that will be the case at MSG. They’ve even set odds on it.

Which will be more noticeable the first time President Trump is shown on camera: Boos or cheers?

Boos -300 (1/3)

Cheers +200 (2/1)

Note: Current odds imply a 75% probability of President Trump hearing more boos than cheers.

Note: If not shown on camera during the live telecast, bets voided.

Additionally, for the the first time all season, the New York Knicks are favored to win the NBA Championship.

NBA Finals

New York Knicks -125

San Antonio Spurs +105
