Jockey Junior Alvarado brings plenty of Triple Crown experience on board Crupper having won both the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes races last year

The Donnie Von Hemel-trained Krupper comes into Saturday's Preakness Stakes race as a 30-1 long shot promising a payout of $3000 on every $100 bet.

He skipped the Kentucky Derby trail chaos and arrives relatively fresh. His last start was a win in the Bathhouse Row (LS).

Von Hemel, while highly regarded as a trainer, is yet to win a Triple Crown race.

Junior Alvarado brings much more Triple Crown experience. Through his 2025 season, where he won both the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes on board Sovereignty, his best Preakness finish was 4th in 2012.
