Detroit Pistons are favorites in their series against the Magic but are on the verge of elimination after another loss Monday night
Nuggets are only slight underdogs to the Minnesota Timberwolves due to the injuries to Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo
Thunder are the favorite to win the Championship at -120 odds
The second weekend of the NBA Playoffs is in the rear-view window and a few higher seeds find themselves in big trouble…namely, the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets.
The Pistons are still slight favorites in their matchup with Orlando Magic while despite being down 3-1, the Nuggets are only slight underdogs to the Minnesota Timberwolves due to the injuries to Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo.
If Detroit is going to save its 60-win season, it'll need some divine help. The eighth-seeded Magic, who have suddenly turned around their season, are up 3-1 in this best-of-7 series and playing with a ton of confidence and physicality. Orlando beat Detroit 94-88 Monday night.
The Pistons have to win three straight, starting Wednesday at home in Game 5, to advance.
"Too many turnovers, bro," center Jalen Duren said of the Pistons' 20 turnovers that led to 23 Magic points. "They are scoring off of our mistakes. The whole series, we just been shooting ourselves in the foot. We got to clean that up, man.
"I still think we're the better team, top to bottom. But we just got to ... we can't keep digging ourselves in the hole. Then, we are fighting ourselves, that team, the refs ... we just got to be better."
