The boxing world might not be thrilled to see Tyson Fury un-retire and immediately be given a trilogy fight with the world champ, Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury was defeated by Usyk in both bouts in 2024, and he hasn't done anything since those two losses but hang up the gloves for a short time.

SportsBetting.ag set odds for the "announced" fight (by Fury) against Usyk, which you can find below.

Of course, there's speculation that this is all a ruse and Fury will fight Anthony Joshua later this year.

Either way, here are the fight lines for both potential matchups:

Oleksandr Usyk             -240

Tyson Fury                    +180

Anthony Joshua            +170

Tyson Fury                    -225

For their part, fans seem overwhelmingly against the Fury-Usyk bout

Nevertheless, the fight makes sense from an economics standpoint.

Olly Campbell of BoxingNews24:

There would be enough fans who would want to watch the third Fury-Usyk fight to bring in a lot of PPV buys. Still, it would be widely criticized by fans as unsporting if Fury is given a third straight fight against Oleksandr after losing the first two. In sports, you don’t see that kind of thing. Tyson should have to beat a top contender like Moses Itauma or Filip Hrgovic to get a title shot against Usyk. He has no intentions of fighting either of those fighters, and for good reason. Fury would lose.

Fury had originally planned to hang up his gloves following a win over Dillian Whyte in April 2022 but went back on the decision just six months later.  And he's done the same thing here with his most recent retirement announcement coming back in January.

Posting a brief clip online, Fury said then: "Hi everybody, I'm going to make this short and sweet. I'd like to announce my retirement from boxing, it's been a blast. I've loved every single minute of it."

Gamblers and fans alike have a long wait to for Fury-Usyk as this fight is not scheduled to take place until April 18, 2026 at Wembley Stadium in London.
