The numbers don't lie.  Prediction market Kalshi reported over $70,000,000 in volume when all was said and done Sunday for the 2025 US Open and the numbers at Gambling911.com reflected this.

This year's US Open was the most trafficked golf event in Gambling911.com's 26 year history.

Much of that traffic came on Sunday with JJ Spaun overcoming five early bogeys to win the U.S. Open at rain-soaked Oakmont.

His payout odds were the most sought after over the last three days following a brilliant showing on Thursday.

Adam Scott saw significant interest from the gambling public having fought for the lead all day Sunday only to drop four shots across three consecutive holes (bogeys at Nos. 14 and 15, followed by a double bogey at the par‑3 16th. He ultimately finished with a 9‑over‑par 79 in that round.

Weather caused a disruption in the tournament late Sunday.

SpSpaun turned a sloppy mess of a U.S. Open at wet and nasty Oakmont into a thing of beauty at the end Sunday with two stunning shots that carried him to his first major championship.

First came his driver on the 314-yard 17th hole onto the green for a birdie that gave him the lead. Needing two putts from 65 feet on the 18th to win, he finished this storybook week by holing the longest putt all week for birdie and a two-over 72.

That made him the only player to finish under par at one-under 279. It gave him a two-shot victory over Robert MacIntyre of Scotland.

FanDuel had quickly dropped Spaun to just shy of +190 for a top-5 finish after a bogey-free 66 Day 1 Thursday and he maintained his dominance throughout.

Some books paid $12000 for every $100 bet on Spaun ahead of this year's US Open.   No word yet on how many gamblers were backing Spaun or what the largest payout ultimately was.
