FanDuel is looking to become an active part of the Missouri community with regulated sports betting to be implemented later this year.

The company announced it will be donating $25,000 to Cardinals Care for St. Louis tornado relief efforts.

Kay Adams, host of "Up & Adams" on FanDuel TV and FanDuel Sports Network, joined FanDuel Sports Network Midwest for the St. Louis Cardinals special pregame broadcast on Friday, June 6, to announce a $25,000 donation from FanDuel to Cardinals Care for tornado relief efforts. The donation supports recovery initiatives that will directly support families and communities following the tornado that tore through St. Louis on May 16, 2025.

On the afternoon of May 16, 2025, an intense and destructive mile-wide tornado tracked more than 20 miles (32 km) through urban areas of Greater St. Louis, including Greater Ville and Fountain Park.  The tornado killed 5 and injured 38 people.

FEMA officials called the residential damage the largest-scale the organization had surveyed since the 2011 tornado in Joplin, Missouri.

According to city officials, the tornado caused $1.6 billion in damage, making it one of the costliest tornadoes ever recorded.

US President Donald Trump approved federal disaster declaration for the St. Louis tornado relief this week.

The move releases millions of dollars in Federal Emergency Management Agency programs that could help people rebuild their homes, find temporary housing and replace destroyed vehicles.

Gov. Mike Kehoe sent the major disaster declaration request for individual assistance on May 25. The governor and several members of the Missouri congressional delegation confirmed that Trump signed the declaration.

“I appreciate President Trump for calling me personally this evening to notify us that he has approved Missouri's request for a major disaster declaration in response to the May 16 severe storms and tornadoes,” Kehoe said on X. “Missourians are grateful for the President's leadership.”
