Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker goes off Saturday night with plenty of prop bets available. Parker was coming in at +225 odds, Dubois -285.
Dubois, a British boxer, has held the International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight title since 2024. Previously, he held the World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight title (Regular version) from 2022 to 2023. He has won 22 of 24 fights, 21 of which were by KO.
Parker comes to us by way of New Zealand. He held the WBO world heavyweight title from 2016 to 2018. He has won 35 of 38 fights.
Andy Lee, Parker's trainer, revealed the boxer will be "probably a career-heaviest" coming into this bout.
"He's certainly punching harder, I can feel it on the pads....I don't buy into the adage, if you're lighter, you move faster."
Parker told The Guardian he is heartened by speculation that Dubois is overlooking him and focusing on a possible heavyweight title unification fight against Oleksandr Usyk, who remains the real world champion and is in possession of the three other belts: “Mmm, it’s good. He might be in two minds. His focus might be split on that fight and our fight. He deserves the praise he’s got recently but that can take him away from what’s actually important and what he needs to work on.”
Speaking to DAZN ahead of his showdown with Parker, Dubois is adamant that he will not let go of his title and is wanting to produce another memorable finish.
"It's up to me to show him now that he's not going to take my title like that," Dubois said.
"I've worked too hard for this and he's not going to be the guy. I'm dead-set on that and proving him wrong with a stoppage. That's how I feel."
