UCF is reportedly considering Lincoln Riley for their vacant head coaching job, according to The Athletic.
This comes after former head coach Gus Malzahn recently left his post as head coach to become the offensive coordinator at Florida State.
Bruce Feldman, Antonio Morales and Ralph Russo all reported for the Athletic that UCF is interested in the USC head coach.
BetOnline caused a frenzy Tuesday after listing the Knights one time head coach Scott Frost as the favorite to land the UCF coaching gig.
Interestingly, the betting site did not list Riley with odds.
The USC head coach addressed the media over speculation he could be leaving Southern California.
"I'm a USC Trojan," said Riley with a smile. "I'm at the place where I want to be. It's a non-starter. It's a non-issue. I'm home."
Betonline may not have considered Riley leaving the Trojans a rational move.
Riley became USC's coach in November 2021, having reportedly signed a 10-year, $110 million contract with the program.
The Athletic reports that, if Riley were to leave, it would "cost tens of millions of dollars for either the Trojans or the school looking to hire him away." They added, "UCF is not in position to replicate the deal Riley has at USC. Malzahn made $4 million in 2024 at UCF."
