The Black Knights (10-1, 8-0 in American) ended the season at the top of the league standing and are set to host Tulane (9-3).

Army is yet to ever win a conference title and has never won more than two Conference USA games in any season.

Tulane was widely expected to host the game until it fell to Memphis on Thursday. UTSA was not able to upset the Black Knights on Saturday, thus resulting in Army hosting this game.

Tulane is still the favorite with a line that has moved from -4 to -5.5.

Sagarin gives us a number of Tulane 4.36, which puts this one right on the money.

Tulane lost to Memphis last week 34-24, one of a number of upsets Saturday.

Darian Mensah passed for 317 yards and two TDs, and Arnold Barnes ran for a 2-yard score — not enough for Tulane to prolong its 17-game streak of regular-season conference wins.

Army still had a shot at making the Playoffs (+4000 odds) but a lot has to go their way.

Their 29-24 victory over UTSA on Saturday wasn't the most convincing following their first loss of the season to Notre Dame the week prior.

Bryson Daily tied the American Athletic Conference record for single-season touchdowns and threw for a season-high 190 yards and a score to lift No. 25 Army to a 29-24 win over UTSA on Saturday.

Army (10-1) finished the regular season 8-0 in the AAC and earned the right to host the championship game on Friday.

Daily rushed for 147 yards, his academy-record ninth straight 100-yard game, and two touchdowns.

Casey Larkin sealed Army’s 10th victory of the season, picking off Owen McCown at the Black Knights’ 10 with 1:14 left.

“It was a great team win,” Daily said. “It was great to see the defense plays their hearts out like they’ve done all season. We knew a close game (at home) was coming at some point this season. That was today. I’m just proud of the fight that our guys showed.”
