BetOnline said they were Trojans fans just 24 hours ahead of Sunday's big showdown between USC and LSU.  By game time, the long established online sportsbook reported 50/50 action on both the spread and moneyline.

Dave Mason noted that they still need the Under.  The 27-20 scored assured that happening.

Miller Moss passed for 378 yards and a touchdown and his 20-yard completion to Kyron Hudson and a subsequent targeting penalty on LSU with 18 seconds to go set up the winning score by Marks in the season opener for both teams. It was Marks’ second TD run.

Moss had a passing yards total Over/Under of 288.5 entering this game.

The loss thrust LSU from 20-1 odds to win the NCAA College Football Championship to 34-1 odds.  USC started the year at 33-1 odds and came in at 6-1 odds as of Monday morning.

Moss outdueled LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier, who completed 29 of 38 passes for 304 yards with two touchdowns and an interception on the final drive. Moss was similarly efficient in going 27 of 36 in a battle of QBs who waited their turns after sitting behind the two most recent Heisman Trophy winners, LSU’s Jayden Daniels and USC’s Caleb Williams.

Entering this game, Moss' teammates and coaches believed they had the right man at starting quarterback.

Receiver Jay Fair said:  "Miller has been a great leader so far. When I first got here, Miller sent out a text to all of the guys, and we all got together. We threw, and we hung out together. That was my first time meeting everybody. When it happened, I was pretty excited, and I had a great feeling about this year.

"He's made sure [the newer guys are] adjusting well and making sure we know what's coming up as far as plays and the offensive install. He's done a great "

USC quarterback coach Luke Huard told 247Sports that "Miller cares about people. He is a true genuine person who cares about our guys on and off the field. So I think our players feel that. He's certainly someone that if they need him in any scenario, he's going to be there for his teammates, and he loves football. He loves to pour into his teammates. Quarterbacks in a sense can be like the extension of your coaching staff on the field. So he obviously has a really, really good knowledge of the system and he does a great job of sharing with his teammates, and kind of being an extra coach on the field."
