In just over 24 hours as the Bubble Watch continues, Selection Sunday will finalize which teams partake in March Madness 2010.

As Gambling911.com has been reporting the last few days, Selection Sunday right up until the first game of the first round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament represents a period of time when everyone and their mother begins placing their March Madness bets, whether it be online or in the office pool.

Selection Sunday kicks off that process as we anxiously await which teams are in and which teams didn't quite make it.

The Sporting News focused on a few fringe teams that could find their way into this year's madness.

Rhode Island was one such team.

"They're among the few bubble teams with a winning mark (7-6) against the top 100," writes Mike DeCourcy of Sporting News.  "It's such a weak year this has become a badge of honor."

Other so-called "fringe" teams to watch include Washington, Mississippi State, Virginia Tech and San Diego State.

"The Aztecs look to be in good shape after they defeated New Mexico in the Mountain West semifinals Friday night," Chris Dobbertean of SB Nation.com writes. "That means the Aztecs are 3-5 against the RPI top 50, with two wins over the 11th-rated Lobos. They can grab a fourth, and end any bubble drama in the process, by knocking off No. 42 UNLV in Saturday's final."
