We will have some fresh blood in college basketball for the Men’s and Women’s Wooden Award winners this upcoming season.
The last two seasons were repeat winners in Zach Edey and Caitlin Clark, but both have moved on to their respective professional careers.
BetOnline.ag recently opened odds for the 2024-25 Wooden Award winners.
On the men’s side, the favorite is the young sensation, Cooper Flagg. He reclassified to become a freshman at Duke this year despite being only 17 years old, meaning he should be a high school senior.
Additionally, Flagg played on the US Select Team practicing against the Men’s Olympic team, and from all accounts, he played very well.
Flagg is followed by three fifth-year seniors in Hunter Dickinson, RJ Davis and Mark Sears. This is the last year where college athletes who were affected by the pandemic will get a super senior year.
On the women’s side, the favorite is Page Bueckers, who won in 2021 (as a freshman) and should be fully recovered from her knee injury that cost here a season and a half.
She is followed by two super sophomores, JuJu Watkins and Hannah Hidalgo.
