FCS football has been around since 1978. Often, success in the FCS, can lead to a bump up to FBS.

We have seen Boise State, Appalachian State, Marshall, Georgia Southern, and James Madison move up to FBS.

Hall of Fame players such as Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Kurt Warner, Michael Strahan, and Charles Haley all excelled in FCS before making their mark in the NFL.

Since 2011, FCS has been dominated by the Dakotas! North Dakota State has won nine times while South Dakota State has won the last two years.

Not surprisingly, those two teams top sandwiched by Montana led the odds to win the Championship.
