Kimberly Cheatle has come under some fire following the attempted assassination of former president and GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump Saturday at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Despite questions concerning the Secret Service's handling of this incident, the betting public does not see Cheatle stepping down or being removed from her role.

The shooting at a Pennsylvania rally underscored security concerns for elected leaders while emphasizing the role of the Secret Service in protecting current and former presidents.

Biden appointed Cheatle to lead the Secret Service in 2022.

The betting market on Cheatle is one of a handful that opened up following Saturday's attempted assassination of Trump, whose odds shot up to -300 from -180 immediately after the shooting.

Polymarket's betting market will resolve to "Yes" if Kimberly Cheatle is no longer Director of the Secret Service for any length of time between July 13, and August 31, 2024, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".

An announcement of Kimberly Cheatle's resignation or removal before this market's end date will immediately resolve this market to "Yes", regardless of when the announced resignation or removal goes into effect.

This market's primary resolution source will be official information from the Secret Service and/or Kimberly Cheatle, however, a consensus of credible reporting sources will also be used.
