We here at Gambling911.com were just a little red-faced coming into Friday.

We had the Orioles-Yankees game going Under 8.5 Thursday.

Baltimore would go on to score 17 runs, six of those in the 2nd inning alone.  By the time we had reached the third inning, this game had already gone Over that 8.5 total.

Yankees starter Luis Gill was 9-1 with a 2.03 ERA.  He had permitted just 5 hits in 33 at bats against this Orioles roster (.152).  Following Thursday's brutal start, Gill's ERA shot up to 2.77.  One would expect Gill to be seeking redemption next Wednesday when he faces off against the Mets in Queens.

It should be noted that Baltimore set a major league record by winning their 22nd straight series against an AL East opponent.

The Braves-Yankees series is taking place in New York but Atlanta is a good team, thus we should see the price for each of these games remain under -180.  Atlanta is also 6-4 in the series over the last ten meetings.  Atlanta won six of their last seven games overall ahead of Thursday.

Carlos Rodon is 9-3 with a 3.28 ERA.  He struggled in Saturday night’s loss to the Red Sox, surrendering five runs on seven hits over his five innings of work.  One would expect him to rebound here.

Chris Sale is 9-2 with a 2.98 ERA.  He's faced off against six Yankees but those have amounted to 71 at bats with 10 RBI's allowed, with 5 home runs.  DJ LeMahieu is 7 for 10 against him but is barely making an impact this season.  Take him out of the picture and Sale has been really good against the Yankees.  Three of those five homers were courtesy of LeMahieu.

Sale allowed two earned runs across seven innings in a 7-3 win over the Rays on Friday. He struck out seven and walked two.

Seven of the last nine in this series dating back to 2020 have stayed Under 7.
