MMA is returning to the Apex in Las Vegas Saturday evening, with this Fight Night not including a title bout. While that’s indeed a rarity, there will be many weight classes featured, with some matches that figure to be quite competitive.

Lerone Murphy and Edson Barboza are featured in a featherweight scrum, and this is going to be a great way to end the night, and UFC’s month.

Here’s a look at some of the best bouts on the program, along with our selections…

Murphy vs. Barbosa

Examining Saturday’s UFC Fight Night card, starts with the final bout, as the board suggests it’s going to be tight. Not every main event is going to come with tight betting odds, but that is the case for the bout this weekend.

Lerone Murphy is the -145 favorite in this featherweight with Edson Barboza priced at +115, according to UFC Fight Night odds. Over/under on this scheduled five-rounder is at 3½ (over at 2-3 [-150]), with under at 6-5 (+120).

There are any number of assorted props, as per Murphy vs. Barboza wagers.

Barboza (24-11-0) is a fighter that always seems to bounce back after some disappointing results, while Murphy enters with a career record of 13-0-1.

Murphy is on a path towards a title fight in the future, so he’s the -145 play. Barbosa is certainly an attractive underdog, but not here.

Williams vs. Harris
Co-featured on this Fight Night card is a welterweight event with a pair of fighters on the rise.

Khaos Williams (14-3-0) enters as the -130 choice to defeat the even-money Carlston Harris (19-5-0) in a scheduled three-round affair.

Both of these fighters have been extremely aggressive in past bouts, and this should end early. Go under 2½ rounds here at -175, and we’re trying Harris to win.

Salvador vs. Yanez

While on the subject of fights which should be settled early, there’s a bantamweight match between Vinicius Salvador (14-6-0) and Adrian Yanez (!6-5-0), with Yanez priced at a puny -360 (Salvador at 13-5 [+260]).

These fighters are looking to raise their profile in the rankings, with Salvador taking a big risk as he doesn’t appear to be on the level of Yanez.

Yanez dropped two fights in the row. He was on a tear to begin his career. This will give him a chance to get his career and his confidence back on track. We don’t envision him losing here.

Some Other Selections

There will be some other bouts worthy of your attention as well. Here’s three of them…

Ramiz Brahimaj (10-4-0) opposes Themba Gorimbo (12-4-0) in another welterweight match, with Brahimaj worth a look as the 11-10 (+110) ‘dog. Gorimbo is the -140 favorite in here.

Abus Magomedov (25-6-1) is a short-priced (-270) middleweight favorite against +215 Warlley Alves (15-7-0). This is a chalky outcome, as is southpaw Tom Nolan (6-1-0) to take out Victor Martinez (13-5-0). Nolan is a death-and-taxes -500 choice against Martinez (7-2 [+350]).
