Chris Moneymaker defeated Leo Wolpert in their second round match in less than 10 minutes. The win guarantees Moneymaker cashing in this year's tournament as he advances to the third round to face the winner of David Williams vs. Erik Seidel.

With the chip stacks virtually even, Jamie Gold's pre-flop pair of kings held up against qualifier Stephen Quinn's A-10 off as Gold advances to the third round.

Peter Eastgate advanced to the third round with a victory over Erick Lindgren. Eastgate will now face Jamie Gold in the Round of 16.

Gabe Kaplan defeated Joe Hachem and now gets the privilege of facing the winner of Phil Ivey and Scotty Nguyen in the Round of 16. Also advancing is Jason Mercier, who defeated Pieter de Korver.

Down to about 2,500 in chips, Scotty Nguyen kept finding ways to hold off Phil Ivey until finally beating the man generally considered the greatest player in poker. Also advancing is Phil Laak who handed Phil Gordon a tough beat on the river.

Erik Seidel defeats David Williams to advance. He'll face Moneymaker in the round of 16.
