Who's It Gonna Be?
Jets GM Joe Douglas suggested on Friday the team is considering linemen such as Notre Dame left tackle Joe Alt, Washington’s Troy Fautanu and Oregon State’s Taliese Fuaga.
“That’s obviously something we have to be mindful of,” Douglas said. “We had 16 or 17 different offensive linemen play for us last year. I think the silver lining in all of that is we have a lot of battle-tested depth on our roster. Every one of our backups started games last year because of what happened.”
Much of the team's woes have been a result of the porous offensive line.
There is a lot of talk of the Jets drafting Georgia tight end Brock Bowers. It's thought that's what Aaron Rodgers would want.
"I don't think Brock Bowers makes it [to the Jets], but if he does, I'm not taking any phone calls," former Tampa Bay Buccaneers GM Mark Dominik said. "I'm just sending the card up."
Douglas hasn't had much luck drafting quarterbacks, hence the +6000 odds.
