UFC 300, this Saturday in Las Vegas, is billed as the greatest night in the history of the sport. The fight card may justify the hype, as T-Mobile Arena hosts bouts with titles on the line.

Many of the top names are going to find their way into the octagon. There will be some great betting options available throughout the card.

Odds are out, and we’re focusing on some of the top fights on the main program of UFC 300. Here’s what to expect…

Hill vs. Pereira

The final fight of the night is a light heavyweight title bout as Jamahal Hill (12-1-0, 1NC) going against Alex Pereira (9–2-0). It will be Pereira who’s trying to defend his belt, though Hill was once the champion in this same weight class.

Pereira has actually won two belts in the last couple of years, including what was a vacant heavyweight crown. Hill still might have that heavyweight belt if he didn’t suffer a torn Achilles.

They’re two extremely experienced, aggressive fighters, and the over/under on this five-round bout is 1½. There’s no way this goes the distance. Someone will deliver the blow which ends it.

Pereira (-130) is the favorite, but in our opinion, the even-money Hill has the motivation. Take Hill to reclaim his crown, thus ending the night in dramatic fashion.

Zhang vs. Yan

There will be an historic bout as the co-main event Saturday evening. It’s the first-ever championship fight between Chinese competitors, Xiaonan Yan (18–3-0, 1NC) is a sizable underdog  against champion Weili Zhang (24-3-0) with the womens’ strawweight title on the line.

Zhang was extremely sharp over the past few bouts, explaining why she’s prohibitively favored at -450, according to UFC 300 odds. Yan, with some impressive wins of her own, is the 13-4 (+325) ‘dog. Odds suggest she’s going to struggle here.

While the aforementioned light heavyweight fight is likely to end quickly, this will be a fight that goes the (five-round) distance. Yan is obviously going to try and avoid Zhang, but the short-priced champ is the best option in this bout.

Holloway vs. Gaethje

There are typically only one or two fights scheduled to last five rounds at a UFC event. That’s not necessarily the case this time in Vegas. The BMF super welterwright title bout between Max Holloway (25-7-0) and Justin Gaethje (25-4-0) in one of the more intriguing get-togethers on the program.

These two big names figure to provide plenty of drama and excitement, since both have a ton of support. Everyone will be expecting that the fight ends abruptly.

Gaethje’s been known to put on a show, and that’s something to keep in mind when trying to break down this fight. Holloway has his fair share of big victories as well, but there’s a reason he is the underdog here. Gaethje is favored (-165), Holloway at +135, and we’re taking the fave.

With the total rounds set at 3½, go under (+140).

There are any number of props, as per Holloway vs. Gaethje odds.

Tsarukyan vs. Oliveira

While the top lightweight event at UFC 300 doesn’t involve a title, it’s still a major fight in this weight class. Arman Tsarukyan (21-3-0) opposes Charles Oliveira (34-9-0, 1NC), with the winner possibly getting a title shot later in 2024.

This fight is scheduled to go just three rounds, but unlikely it gets that far.[ As both fighters enter with something to prove, exhibiting aggressive behavior is the way to get that done.

Tsarukyan (-225) is clearly the favorite Saturday evening, Oliveira at +185. Go under 1½ rounds (even) as the best betting option in this contest.
